Stuart Houchen has been a funeral director since the year 2000.

In 2005, with his wife Trish, Stuart bought, Cambridge Funeral Services - a business with a strong local identity, being Cambridge’s first ever funeral service. The business was established in 1945.

In his role as a forensic photographer with the NZ Police, a position held for two decades, Stuart developed the calmness and sensitivity which are appreciated by those who are dealing with loss.

Well-qualified as a funeral director, Stuart holds the appropriate professional qualifications – the National Certificate in Funeral Directing, the National Certificate in Embalming and the National Diploma in Funeral Services.

Raised on a farm in Rukuhia, Stuart is a local person, familiar with his community and its needs and expectations.
